At will, the caster is able to surround herself in an whirlwind, hovering a few inches above the surface of her feathers, which delivers a powerful gust and minor cuts to any being (other than herself) who comes within one-to-two feet (or a 1/2 meter) of it. The gust is rarely enough to blow away any creature heavier than a [[Korok]], but can be used to parry an oncoming attack, free oneself from a grapple, keep an attacker from getting too close, or other niche purposes.

This aura lasts approximately one-to-three seconds, and because of the strain it imposes on one's magic strength, this can normally only be manifested once every 3 minutes. With one level in [[Magic Power]], it can be used once per minute. With two levels in Magic Power, it can be used once every 20 seconds. For the purpose of Gale Aura, a Rito is treated as though she has one more level in Magic Power than she actually does.
