The '''Great Flying Machine''' is a vehicle design proposed by several sages and scholars, of a great galleon that can not only maneuver through water, but soar through the skies. {{Major}}

This specially-constructed vehicle would require numerous powerful and rare magical materials, as well as expensive and and highly tuned mechanical instruments to function as intended. As such, its construction has been rendered virtually impossible. Military forces and kingdoms thus far have favored less cumbersome means of airborne travel, such as that available to [[Rito]], through [[???]], or by using treasures such as [[Wing Tunic]] or [[Flying Broom]]. Unlike these other means, this machine would be able to support massive amounts of weight at once, remain stationary in the air indefinitely without a direct controller, and be able to carry and utilize large siege weapons such as a [[Sky Cannon]].

A ship of this design generally could not be larger than about 210 feet (or 64 meters) in length, and 56 feet (17 meters) across. It generally has no more than two floors below the uppermost one, suitable for storage or lodging. The vehicle could use magical sails, mechanical copter blades, unseen [[:Category:Force Field|force]], or other means to both remain aloft indefinitely and propel itself in any direction. Under conditions of calm wind, the vessel would have acceleration and speed comparable to a traditional galleon propelled by a strong breeze.
