On impact, the projectile electrocutes its target with enough energy to stun, and cause a noticeably painful burn on bare skin. The bolt immediately disappears on impact. A skilled instrumentalist is able to produce about one of these bolts per second.

Notably, this treasure can only be performed orally without an instrument if the user has an exceptional voice. To orally produce the Piercing Note, the user must either have a [[Profession]] dedicated to singing, or be using a treasure which enhances her voice (such as a [[Megamouth Mask]]).
