Notably, the range separates [[Hyrule Field]] from the legendary mountain of [[Snowpeak]]. The hills are covered in snow for much of the year, significantly more frigid than the fields immediately south of them, but nowhere near as cold as the aptly named Snowpeak.

Notorious caves formed both by nature and ancient, unknown peoples twist throughout the hills. Though most [[Yeti]] inhabit either Snowpeak proper or the distant [[Subrosian Glacier]], a handful of tribes nonetheless make their homes in some of these caves. Infamously, hermits and runaways hailing from [[Castle Town]] or [[Lon Lon Ranch]] also make their way into some of these caverns, to hide from their kin.
