Located far away from civilization, the Subrosian Glacier was found only in recent years by explorers, floating somewhere in the [[Eastern Sea]]. Across the endless ice fields which fill this land, [[Race:Yeti|Yook]]s roam through this desolate wasteland as easily as [[Hylian]]s walk through Hyrule Field. Past the frozen shores is a large mountain covered entirely in snow and ice, though a cave system buries its way into the heart of the mountain. These caves descend into the earth for miles and miles, far beyond the reach of [[Yook]]s. At the end of these endless caves is the entrance into a massive chasm, known as [[Subrosia]], the strange land inhabited by the even stranger [[Subrosian]]s. The Subrosian Glacier is the only known way of reaching this enigmatic land without some form of magic.

		+	As the story goes, the first known [[Subrosian]] to emerge from the depths of the earth and visit [[Castle Town]] emerged from a great island of ice. At the time, Hylians erroneously believed this fabled island to actually be a floating glacier instead of the actual landmass. As a result, the landmass received the false name which still lasts to this day. The Subrosian herself was proof that the overworld Hyruleans knew was connected to a subterranean land the woman called Subrosia, which could only be accessed through a system of caves which came to be known as the [[Subrosian Caverns]].

		+	The Subrosian Glacier itself is dauntingly large, with nearly as much walkable landmass as all of [[Northern Hyrule]]. However, it is hardly a friendly place. Sub-zero winter winds blow year-round over landscapes drenched in snow and ice, making it virtually impossible for any race other than [[Yeti]] to comfortably live. As such, even exploration of it has proven relatively difficult. Particularly daring adventurers are known to seek the highest mountains in this frosty region to climb and conquer. Some such mountains are supposedly even more daunting than the [[Snowpeak\|Snowpeak Mountain]] of Northern Hyrule.

		+	The landmass is sparsely populated by a form of Yeti who call themselves Yook, most of whom live a nomadic life across the [[Great Ice Field]] that sits at the center of the continent. Though smaller than their Yeti cousins from Hyrule, these Yook are particularly aggressive towards any explorers who have entered their territory. This, combined with the inherent language barrier, has made peace between Yook and Hyruleans so far very difficult. At best Yook have been avoided, and at worst they have been killed outright. Still, the handful of tribes who are willing to cooperate and trade with Hyruleans have generally been well-respected. These cooperative Yooks have provided service as guides and scouts, in exchange for magic and technology for their tribes. The only Hyrulean settlement in the continent--[[Yook Outpost]]--is named for these friendly folk, despite the fact relatively few live there.

		+	In recent years, valuable [[:Category:Materials\|materials]] have been found in the mountains of the land. As such, more and more Hyrulean explorers have gathered in Yook Outpost to try and mine their way to riches. Thankfully, the Royal Family of [[Castle Town]] has taken extreme measures to ensure expansion into the continent is not overly aggressive. The once-friendly [[Lynel]]s have become sworn enemies of [[Hylian]]s, after the latter aggressively took Lynel land and committed atrocities on their people, even going so far as to aid [[Ganon]] in massacring Hylians in droves. Indeed, as greedy as some Hylians are, very careful steps have been taken to treat Yook culture and land with respect, so as to not make enemies out of them.
