A Hinox begins with a [[PWC]] of 2/1/1 or 1/1/2, having a 2 in either Power. This starting PWC can be defied by using the [[Exception]] racial perk during character creation.

A Hinox begins with two innate racial perks: [[Dark Worlder]] and [[Moon Pearl]]. The prior represents his origins in the [[Place:Dark World|Dark World]] and curses him with a weakness to {{Field|Light}}, while the latter helps him retain his form while existing outside the Dark World. In addition to these, a Hinox character can have up to three additional [[racial perk]]s of choice. In addition to the general perks available to every race, a Hinox can also choose from:
* [[Bomb Bag]]: a powerful [[:Category:Supply Field|supply]] of explosive weaponry
* [[Eruption]]: a difficult to use, but powerful technique that can create a colossal explosion
