'''Rising Oak''' is a defensive spell, prized in particular by lumberjacks. To cast this spell, the user must point at a patch of solid ground. Instantly, an oak tree will launch straight up from the ground at roughly 100mph. The fully-grown tree instantly extends to a height of either triple the user's height, or 12 feet (4 meters), whichever is smaller. The tree rises suddenly and so fast that it can effectively be used to block incoming attacks, or launch an unsuspecting combatant up into its branches. Once this spell is cast, however, the user cannot cast it again for about 10 minutes.

If the oak tree is created on ground that can support it, with adequate sunlight present at the time, it will remain there indefinitely as a living tree naturally would. If the oak tree is created on unsuitable ground or in the absence of sunlight, it will wither and vanish into thin air mere seconds after it was spawned.
