'''Spectral Fist''' is a martial technique used by bare-handed fighters to literally punch through the defenses of armored foes.

After concentrating his energy entirely into his fist for about 10 seconds, remaining motionless throughout, the user’s hand gains a faintly glowing purple aura. The next time he strikes with that bare hand, his hand (up to the wrist) will pass through any inorganic matter as easily as air--both into the strike, and leading away from the strike. Once the user has struck with the empowered hand, the aura fades, and he must concentrate again before making such a strike.

Any inorganic matter the user’s strike passes through is completely unharmed. If the user attempts to keep his fist pressed through inorganic matter during the strike, his hand will be forcefully pushed out without incurring any additional damage.

This strike is otherwise a normal bare-handed attack. It has no unusual effect if used against an enemy that is completely inorganic--or if striking a completely organic target, such as bare skin. (For the purpose of this technique, [[undead]] creatures and all playable [[race]]s are considered “organic.”) Even if the user strikes a target with no unusual effect, the aura is still lost.

Until the user strikes, his hand(s) will retain the purple aura indefinitely.

This technique still applies to any material worn on the hands. If the user is wearing metal gauntlets, for example, he will be able to punch ‘through’ them using this technique, only for his hand to snap back into the gauntlet after the strike.

With this augment, the user keeps his hands empowered at all times. The aura never fades, no matter how many times he strikes. The aura only fades if the user dies, or if he wills it to disappear. Similarly, he can will the aura to reactivate instantly, at any time.

The user can change the color of his aura at will, though it must always be one uniform hue throughout.
