Gift of Light is a utility trait, and a racial perk for Ascending Fairies. As such, an Ascending Fairy can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation, or gain it later as a normal treasure. An Ascending Fairy can gain this as a normal treasure, at half the normal cost that would be required of other races.
Due to their nature, many Fairies have a natural proficiency for Light treasures. When determining the cost of such a treasure, treat each of the user's PWC attributes as each being 2 points higher, to a maximum of 5.

- Similar racial treasures include Child of Snowhead, Infernal Birth, Aquatic Birth, On the Breeze, Heart of the Forest, Heart of Darkness, Down to Earth, Illusionist, and Hero's Legacy.
- The Gift of Light treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Guy.
