A Guardian Acorn is a material an Outfitter can imbue into any item he or she would otherwise be able to craft. A Guardian Acorn is a walnut-like object imbued with fairy magic, of size comparable to a child's fist.
When the wearer of such an item focuses their willpower into it, the wearer is surrounded in a magical aura which halves the damage he receives for several minutes. Any received injuries are half as severe, and any pain felt is roughly halved. This effect will last for several minutes at a time, after which the garment will fade in color for nearly an hour. After its color returns, the effect can be activated again.
Single-Use Variant
In place of acquiring the material, a player may acquire a single, less potent Guardian Acorn for a mere 5 rupees. This acorn can be consumed, or otherwise activated, once and only once for the user to gain the full effect of a Guardian Acorn for about a minute's time. After the effect ends, the acorn becomes worthless ash.
