A Hyoi Pear appears somewhat similarly to a normal pear, and has comparable nutritional content, but bears on one side several spots which resemble a face.
Though few know how this was first discovered, the pear has a unique effect: when this fruit is worn atop one's head, and a bird or avian creature of any kind (even a Rito) comes along and eats it, the user's body will enter a trance while their mind takes control of the bird's body as if it was their own. The user loses all sensation and control from their own body. This effect will cancel if either body takes damage, if the user willingly returns to their body, if either the user or the bird loses consciousness, or if the controlled bird moves more than roughly 300 feet (or 100 meters) away from the user.
This treasure represents an ample supply of these pears, and as such the owner always has just enough for routine use of them. These fruits are enough for practical use, but they are not pure enough to be grown and cultivated by a Botanist. For pure, individual seeds suitable for cultivation, see Hyoi Seed. A skilled Botanist can consume four pure Hyoi Seeds to produce an effective Hyoi Pear Supply.
Trivia
The Hyoi Pear Supply treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in The Wind Waker. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
