Kamaro's Mask bears the visage of an esoteric dancer, famous in some circles. The wearer of this mask can perform a magical dance that puts nearly everyone who watches it, friend or foe, into a captivated trance after mere seconds. The magic will not halt extremely powerful emotions or motivations, such as an overwhelming desire to kill the wearer, but in nearly every other state of mind the dance's magic will captivate anyone who watches it. The wearer's dance requires all of his attention, and he cannot move from where he started the dance nor perform any other actions while maintaining the trance effect. Once the wearer ceases dancing, the effect immediately ends. Generally, any sudden rush of adrenaline--such as being injured, falling, or watching a murder--will break a being out of the trance prematurely.
Certain extremely competent beings, to include boss monsters, may be able to resist the effect outright. Anyone with a Moon Pearl isn't affected at all.
Trivia
- An Outfitter can treat a Kamaro's Mask as a material for the purpose of combining its effects with other materials or treasures into one item of the Headgear or Footwear fields. When determining how many materials the Outfitter can craft into one item, treat this item as though it had a set cost of 20 rupees.
- This treasure is considered a variant of Captivating Dance, which is Power-based instead of Courage-based.
- The Kamaro's Mask treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in Majora's Mask. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
