A given pair of Magnet Boots may vary in appearance, but generally have a metallic texture around the base of the boot, and are usually made of leather. By flipping a switch on the boots, their soles abruptly become powerful, magical magnets which only applies force in a straight trajectory out from the bottoms of the feet. (As such, the boots will not magnetize with any object not below them.) The user's feet will be magnetized to any metal or rock, regardless of the surface's polarity or magnetic potential. The user is capable of walking easily even on walls and ceilings. If both feet are removed, as would occur in running or jumping, the user is subjected to normal gravity, and may fall if care is not taken.

If the user has a pair of Iron Boots, the effect of his Magnet Boots can be applied to the Iron Boots at will.

Trivia

  • Magnet Gloves can be seen as a counterpart to these boots.
  • Woodpull Boots can be seen as a variant of Magnet Boots, but as their name implies, only attach to wood surfaces.
  • Wall-Scaling and its augment, Wall-Walking, can enable the user to traverse any solid surface, but is considerably more expensive.
  • The Magnet Boots treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in Twilight Princess. In that game, the Iron Boots themselves were drawn to powerful magnets, and the boots themselves were not magnetic.
