A Mermaid Suit, also known as Merman Mail, normally appears as a blue piece of cloth or armor which typically covers the lower half of the user's body. When the wearer enters deep water, however, the lower half of the painlessly transforming it into a fish-like tail, enabling the wearer to swim with the elegance and power of a mermaid... or merman. The suit also enables the wearer to breathe underwater so long as it is worn. Finally, whoever wears it will be mostly protected from Water damage. While the forceful impact of water can still cause harm, soaking in calm water for any length of time will not cause harm to the wearer.
The wearer of a Mermaid Suit will negate any weakness to water he or she would otherwise have, making it particularly useful for Koroks, Subrosians, and Deku Scrubs. A Mermaid Suit can be removed from its wearer, to instead wrap an object, thus keeping the object from suffering water damage. Inanimate objects do not transform into fishy versions of themselves, however.
