Warp Willow is a material which an Outfitter can imbue into a piece of footwear or an accessory. The term "Warp Willow" refers to an entire tree, but this material only represents a portion of it--such as its leaves, bark, or roots--all of which yields the same effect when imbued into an item.
The imbued item allows the user to either instantly teleport to a nearby location, or focus intently to teleport over a long distance. In either case, the user is limited to how many times he or she can teleport. For every instance of Warp Willow imbued into the item, one teleportation can be performed per quest.
Performing short-distance teleportation requires the wearer to only mentally point out the spot to which they are located, and mentally picture the orientation in which they want her body to appear. Her body will then abruptly teleport just as she imagined it, disappearing and reappearing in less than a second. This may be mildly disorienting if the user isn't accustomed to the sensation.
Performing long-distance teleportation requires the wearer to intently concentrate to up to a minute's time, focusing on the location to which she will appear. She can teleport to any location she's visited in the past week or so, so long as it is not more than an hour's travel distance away.
Trivia
- Farore's Wind, Wizzwarp, and other treasures can be used to teleport repeatedly, but are otherwise more limited in capacity than the ability granted by Warp Willow.
- The Warp Willow (material) treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Guy.
