To use this technique, the user must have access to a Bomb Bag, Bombchu Supply, Bombling Supply, Bomb Seed Supply, or Mini Bombs.

A user with the Powder Charge technique can use an explosive to create a Powder Charge. A Powder Charge must be prepared beforehand, requiring at least one minute, and generally cannot be prepared during battle due to the volatile nature of the Powder Charge. The Powder Charge itself appears is a tiny packet, which essentially concentrates all the ingredients of the explosive into a small, highly-volatile container. The charge can be used in various ways; as a trip mine, as a remotely detonated mine (via a string), as an attachment to a projectile, etc. Due to the sensitive nature of this packet, it cannot be stowed, and the user can generally only have one prepared at a time.

Trivia

  • The Powder Charge can be used to emulate other bomb-based techniques, including Bomb Arrow and Landmine.
  • The Powder Charge treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to WillowtheWhisp.
