Nose for Treasure
Type Utility Technique
Fields Earth, Mogma, PerQuest, Rupee, Tokay
Cost 45 rupees

Nose for Treasure is a utility technique useful for both crafters and businessmen.

Mogmas have a natural instinct to find treasure, which is only enhanced further by their culture's emphasis on treasure hunting as a worthwhile endeavor. Tokay similarly have an almost inborn greed, and desire to "salvage" trinkets and treasures when the possibility presents itself. As such, this treasure is a racial perk for both Mogma and Tokay. As such, a member of either race can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. If a Mogma or Tokay gains this treasure at some point after creation, it costs 15 less rupees than usual.

Once per quest or dungeon, the user of this technique can select to receive either a material discount or a rupee bonus.

Material Discount

If a material discount is chosen, the user may choose to spend 8 less rupees on materials gained within this quest or dungeon, so long as the material has a set cost. Regardless of how many or how few materials the user acquires, the total discount never exceeds 8 rupees.

This effect cannot be combined with other treasures which discount materials, such as Ore Trade.

Rupee Bonus

If a rupee bonus is chosen, the user may gain an additional 5 bonus rupees at the end of his quest or dungeon. If the user gains bonus rupees with Nose for Treasure, however, he can only gain a Rupee Bonus from one other treasure in the same thread.
