The Elegy of Emptiness is a mysterious song, with a strange effect which activates after skillfully playing it for at least ten seconds. At first, nothing will seem to have happened. When the player next moves from where she stood, however, in the place she stood will be an eerie statue which somewhat bears her resemblance. While the statue clearly intends to resemble the player, and may fool others from a distance, from up close it is obvious that it isn't the player, and couldn't possibly be alive. The statue has approximately half the player's weight.
By playing this song in succession, the player can create up to three different statues. Additionally, if the player can change her form, she can create an additional statue for each alternate form. After the maximum limit of statues is reached, playing the song again will cause the new statue to replace the oldest one.
