Snap Trap is an offensive spell. To use it, the caster must momentarily focus on a mundane object held in his hand, which should be of comparable size to a fist. The object cannot be magical in nature, nor already be affected by a spell. This spell can only affect one object at a time; attempting to enchant another object will replace the effect on the previously-enchanted object.
The next time the caster uses a predetermined trigger, such as snapping his fingers or saying a certain phrase, the enchanted object will let out an explosion equivalent to a cherry-bomb. This will be strong enough to stun anyone nearby, but extremely unlikely to be fatal. If the enchanted object is somehow damaged, the enchantment fades without effect. The explosion produce does not damage the enchanted object, but does render the object incapable of being enchanted again by Snap Trap.
The Snap Trap treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Tsubori.
