Bind is a defensive technique.
By touching an object, such as a pair of manacles or a hat, the user may drive a portion of his soul's power into the object to enchant it. The object must have less mass than the user. This has no immediately apparent effect, but any creature who touches the enchanted object, other than the user, will be afflicted. While in contact with the affected object, the target becomes completely incapable of using magic; specifically, all of the target's spells and magical items cease function. This restriction continues for as long as the creature(s) are in contact with the object. The effect immediately ends if the creature separates contact, and immediately resumes if contact resumes.
If the user binds another object, the effect of the previous binding immediately ends. If an affected object is destroyed or cut, the effect remains active on the larger part of the object.
Trivia
- The Bind treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Quill.
- The effect of this treasure can also be applied through a material, namely the Binding Stone.
