The Spectacles of Agony are an offensive magical item. At a glance, the item seems to be an ordinary, mediocre pair of glasses. A portion of the spectacles were made from Gossip Stones, and give the glasses' wearer a visual way to know the weaknesses of foes. The glasses don't speak as Gossip Stones do, but will mark the weak areas as a glowing light on the lens, visible only to the wearer. A red glow marks weak spots, while a blue glow marks strong points such as shields and helms.
The Spectacles of Agony treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Doc Genz.
