Exception is a utility trait, and a universal racial perk. As such, any character can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. No character may acquire this treasure after character creation. Usually, any character with this perk is an exception to the normal expectations of his or her race.
A character with Exception may decrease any aspect of his or her PWC by 1, if the aspect to be decreased is not already 1. In exchange, the character may increase any other area of his or her PWC by 1. In effect, this allows the character to defy the starting PWC of its race, at the cost of a single perk.
