Hylian Heritage is a utility trait, and a exclusive racial perk for Sheikah. As such, a Sheikah can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. Unlike most racial perks, this cannot be obtained after character creation as a normal treasure. Because this is an exclusive perk, it cannot be gained by other races.
Sheikah are merely a distinct type of Hylians, and often live in mostly-Hylian societies. As such, they can freely start with Hylian racial perks. A Sheikah can gain Hylian Heritage multiple times. Each time it is gained, the Sheikah may also gain any racial perk normally exclusive to the Hylian race.
