A character may freely gain the Horse Call in place of Epona's Song. This variant is a small horseshoe-shaped flute, and thus is considered a mechanical item instead of a song.
When the holder of this expertly-crafted flute blows into it properly, requiring little expertise, it effectively plays Epona's Song skillfully enough for the required period of time. As such, it has the same end effect of Epona's Song itself. Despite its name, it can summon any mount to the user, and not just horses.
