Silver Scales are a material to be used by an Outfitter to craft armor or another garment worn on the torso. These appear as shimmering scales shed by one or more Zora, though typically lose their silvery sheen when forged into armor. Holding one of these scales has a strange effect, causing the holder to psychologically feel like he can hold his breath longer, and dive deeper, underwater.

- The Silver Scale (material) treasure does not appear verbatim within the official Zelda series. However, it can be interpreted to exist from context, initially so in Ocarina of Time.
