Float Clay appears as a roughly fist-sized piece of clay-like material, which is always of a solid hue, most commonly some shade of brown.
This "clay" is unique in that it always rises a specific height above ground, as if levitated by magnetism. The exact distance hovered is specific to one instance of this clay, and may range anywhere from just above the ground to a height of 6 feet (or about 2 meters). A force in excess of about 12 pounds (or 5 kilograms) is sufficient to weight it down to the ground. (Several instances of the clay, however, can lift heavier objects.) The clay is constantly in a state of being shapeable and semi-solid, and thus it can be forced by hand into various shapes--but will never be particularly hard nor particularly sharp.
After a person handles the clay, the clay has a tendency to float towards whoever handled it, and may even "orbit" that person in a steady pattern. The clay will cease following a person if a physical force impacts it, or if the person pushes it away.
Trivia
- The Float Clay treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Guy.
