Stone Squall is an offensive spell, in which the caster creates and throws a large amount of fist-sized stones in one direction all at once.
To cast it, the user must stand nearly still and concentrate her magical energy into the ground beneath her for a full second. After the caster's concentration is complete, a myriad of fist-sized stones, usually between 10 and 20 seem to rise up out of the ground in front of her in a sporadic pattern. It takes a second or two for all of the stones to coalesce into a large sporadic gathering roughly 9 feet (or 3 meters) in diameter. Once this giant cluster has been formed, all of the stones within it fly forward with tremendous speed. Each stone is simultaneously slung as fast as if a professional pitcher slung it as hard as he could.
Although the spell normally creates generic stones, the caster may instead create the stones of whatever material she is standing on, for so long as that material is naturally occurring and covers a wide area. If standing on a sheet of ice, for instance, she will sling balls of ice instead of stones. If the caster manages to stand on molten lava, this spell would become particularly dangerous. Regardless of whether stones or another material are used, the created projectiles vanish after impact.
Normally, Stone Squall can be cast every 3 minutes. With one level of Magic Power, the caster can create a squall every 1 minute. With two levels, one can be created every 20 seconds. If the caster has a Specialty in Earth, she is treated as having two levels of Magic Power for the purpose of this spell.
The Stone Squall treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Guy.
