A Ghastly Doll is a small ragdoll that can fit in one's palm and, as its name implies, often has a grotesque or bizarre appearance. Whoever last touched the doll is able to control it telepathically like a puppet for so long as their eyes remained focused on it. If the user looks away, or closes their eyes for at least a second, they lose control, and the doll slumps lifelessly. Once control has been lost, the user must touch it again to regain control. One of these dolls is notoriously difficult to destroy, as it doesn't go up in flame, and seems almost impervious to being cut or severed even by a well-crafted sword.

Trivia

The Ghastly Doll treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Guy. It was based on a minor item which canonically appeared in Oracle of Seasons. The canonical version of the item had no known unusual properties, however.
