Desenium is a material which a Weaponsmith or Outfitter can use in any item they can craft. However, it most useful for ammunition supplies and footgear. When unrefined, it appears as an ore of a sage green color.
An item crafted with this material gains a unique property. Whenever the wielder or wearer of the item shouts a specific word or phrase, such as "descend," the item will abruptly plummet to the ground if it is in mid-air. Any sideward or upward momentum is abruptly ended, replaced with the downward movement. Usually, the densest part of the item is brought down first--such as the metal tip of an arrow--but the item can be designed so one specific part of it descends first instead. This is particularly useful for arrows or other projectiles which can be caused to drop mid-flight onto unsuspecting enemies.
The Desenium (material) treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Guy.
