Nose for Treasure is a utility technique, and a racial perk for Mogmas and Tokay. As such, a member of either race can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. If a Mogma or Tokay gains this treasure at some point after creation, it costs 15 less rupees than usual. Other races acquire this treasure normally.
Mogmas have a natural instinct to find treasure, which is only enhanced further by their culture's emphasis on treasure hunting as a worthwhile endeavor. Tokay similarly have an almost inborn greed, and desire to "salvage" trinkets and treasures when the possibility presents itself. Because of this, many Tokay and Mogmas have an easy time locating hard-to-find rupees or other baubles. Other races have to considerably train themselves to match this capability. Once per quest or dungeon, a user of this technique can either acquire additional plain rupees, or additional rupees for any Material with a set cost. In either case, this is a PerQuest treasure of the Rupee field. As such, it cannot be used in combination with other Rupee PerQuest treasures.
If a material is chosen, the user gains an additional 10 rupees to spend on any Materials with a set cost within this quest or dungeon. The treasure must be found within the affected quest. These bonus rupees can be combined with the Mogma's quest rupees to pay for the material. Any leftover rupees not spent on a material are forever lost.
If rupees are chosen, the user must role-play finding the rupees, and gains an additional 5 rupees at the end of his quest or dungeon. In doing so, however, he cannot use Ore Trade, Lost and Found, or Rupoor Supply to find additional rupees in that same quest or dungeon.
