Splinter Crystals are a material used by Weaponsmiths to create bladed weaponry. These crystals typically appear as a crystalline formation of a dull blue color, though unusual color variations have been discovered.

When a bladed weapon is forged with this material, it is capable of having one of the sharpest edges known to Hyrule, albeit also one of the most brittle. When one of these crystalline blades is damaged, as is often the case due to their fragility, they can gradually regrow into their original shape. Mending cracks and chips may take mere minutes, whereas regrowing an entire blade may take as much as a week.

Trivia
