A Rope Shooter is a deceptively powerful weapon that can summon many nonvenomous but agressive snakes, known as Ropes, at high speed.
From a glance, a Rope Shooter appears from a glance to be little more than a wooden tube, open on one side and solid on the other. Normally one has a length of about 3 feet (or 90 cm), a diameter of about 6 inches (15 cm), and a weight of around 20 pounds (or 9 kg).
The tube is activated whenever the user grasps its circumference with both hands and focuses her willpower into it. Each activation abruptly and magically spawns a Rope in the solid end of the tube, then immediately launches it out the other end of the tube. If the tube is pointed downward, the Rope drops harmlessly onto the ground. If the tube is pointed forward or upward, the Rope launches out as if thrown with great strength, fangs spread with the sole intent of biting hard into whatever its fired upon.
The Ropes themselves are otherwise normal for their kind, appearing as thick-bodied snakes about three feet (or one meter) in length. They are violently aggressive to anyone who doesn't hold the Rope Shooter from which they came, but their bites are nonvenomous. Any Rope is easy to kill with a well-placed stomp.
A Rope Shooter can hold up to 10 rounds of magical ammunition, each of which can be shot in very rapid succession if desired. However, once all 10 Ropes are shot, the weapon takes 10 minutes of intense concentration from its wielder to reload. The weapon cannot be reloaded until all 10 Ropes have been shot. The concentration process causes all summoned Ropes--or their corpses--to vanish as abruptly as they had appeared.
Augment: Infinite Rope Shooter

Additional Cost |
Lowest Cost P5: 10 rupees |
The Infinite Rope Shooter augment can be gained simultaneously with the original treasure, or later as a separate cost. Once this augment is gained, the Rope Shooter is empowered, and it becomes a Major Treasure.
A character who has never gained a Major Treasure may gain this augment normally. Otherwise, the character must first gain Major Gain specifically to gain the Infinite Rope Shooter augment.
With this augment, the Rope Shooter can fire up to 100 Ropes in succession. It can be reloaded at any time, regardless of how much ammunition is left, but the reloading process still takes 10 minutes.
Augment: Friendly Ropes

Additional Cost |
20 rupees |
The Friendly Ropes augment can be gained simultaneously with the original treasure, or later as a separate cost.
Once this augment is gained, any summoned Ropes will avoid attacking anyone the wielder mentally designates as allies or innocents. They are no less aggressive towards the wielder's enemies, however.
Trivia
- The Rope Shooter can be seen as a more powerful, more specialized version of the less costly Seed Shooter.
- The Rope Shooter treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Guy. Ropes are canonical enemies which appear throughout the Zelda series.
