With the Rising Tiger technique, the user can concentrate energy into their limbs to create spectacular, fiery effects such as flaming punches, rocket-propelled kicks, and even flight. This is a Major treasure. A character who has never gained a Major treasure may gain this treasure normally. Otherwise, the character must first acquire Major Gain specifically to gain this treasure.
With this technique, the user is capable of unleashing fiery propulsion from their forearms or forelegs at any time, extending over their hands or arms, respectively. This propulsion can either cause the limb to accelerate forward in the direction it is pointed, or accelerate backwards. This strange, seemingly magical fire is nearly as hot as regular flame to beings other than the user, but does not catch flame on its own. This propulsion can only propel the corresponding limb forward or backward, but how strong the propulsion is can be controlled by the user. This effect enables the user to, among other things, give the user slightly more powerful punches or kicks with quick bursts of propulsion, or fly for brief periods.
This method of flight is notably different that winged flight; though it has greater acceleration and slightly higher top speed when all four limbs are going, it lacks the nimble movement of flight. When only two limbs are going, however, regular flight by most races can outdo it in all areas, as 'flight' at this point becomes more akin to hovering.
