A Chill Seed appears as a small fruit, which is light-blue in color, and somewhat cubical in shape. When a Chill Seed is struck against a hard surface, it bursts apart, releasing a momentary flash of extremely cold temperature that freezes or damages anything it touches. These seeds work effectively as a means of freezing water or as slingshot ammunition.

The Chill Seed Supply is a Stock treasure gives the owner an effectively infinite supply of these seeds, costing a set 20 rupees. An individual Chill Seed is a Single-Use item, can be acquired at a cost of 3 rupees. An individual Chill Seed can only be used once.

A Botanist can craft with individual Chill Seeds (but not with a supply of them). A skilled botanist can use 3 single Chill Seeds to craft a Chill Seed Supply. Using 5 single seeds, the botanist can splice a Chill Seed's freezing effect into a supply of other seeds, fruits, or vegetables.
