The Song of Soaring, also known as the Ballad of Gales, is a rare and powerful song. This is a Major treasure. A character who has never gained a Major treasure may gain this treasure normally. Otherwise, the character must first acquire Major Gain specifically to gain this treasure.

This mystical song is complex and difficult to play, but requires less than 10 seconds of continuous playing to activate its effect. Once the song is activated, the user and anyone touching them will be enwrapped within a symbol of wind or flight: massive, inexplicable pair of white wings; a colossal cyclone; or a pillar of light shooting skyward. After this, the user (and any touchers) disappear. A minute or so later, they will reappear at any location marked on the map of Hyrule, excluding Death Mountain, as designated by the user.

Trivia

  • Other treasures useful for traversing long distances almost instantly include Wizzwarp and Portal, among others.
  • The Song of Soaring treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in Majora's Mask. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
