The Mask of Truth is colored white, and carries the Sheikah insignia in place of a face. When worn, it enables the wearer to communicate with Gossip Stones, hear and understand the thoughts of animals, and converse with sentient inanimate objects. Any entity, whether stone or animal, who actively wills not to be affected by this mask will not be.
This treasure is a racial perk for Sheikah. As such, a Sheikah can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. If a Sheikah chooses to gain this perk at some point after creation, the perk costs 15 rupees less than the listed cost.
Trivia
- An Outfitter can treat a Mask of Truth as a material for the purpose of combining its effects with other materials or treasures into one item of the Headgear field. When determining how many materials the Outfitter can craft into one item, treat this item as though it had a set cost of 20 rupees.
- The Mask of Truth treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in Ocarina of Time. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
