Light is a utility spell. To cast it, the caster swings or thrusts forward a weapon or other instrument to shoot forward a ball of light. After flying forward for 30 feet (or 10 meters), it will automatically stop and hover in mid-air. The caster can will it to stop at an earlier point in its trajectory. Once the Light is still, it will hang in place, illuminating its surroundings. It will persist for five minutes, until it touches a solid object, or until the caster dispels it with a force of will. The light emitted by the orb can be as dim as a candle to uncomfortably bright, but cannot be so bright it damages a typical Hylian's eyesight. The orb's brighness cannot be changed after it is created. The orb itself does not have a solid form, and will disappear if any solid object gets close enough to touch it.

The caster can only have one orb of Light maintained at one time, as attempting to create another replaces the last. A few seconds must pass between each manifestation of an orb of Light.

The Light treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Quill.
