The Tune of Echoes is a peculiar, mystical song. So long as it is played skillfully, the player has the ability to magically observe any past events within a 24 hour period. She can view more recent events by playing slowly, and older events by playing quickly, so finding a specific event may take several minutes of fine-tuning the tempo. All of her senses are used in this observation, but she can only view events which occurred where her physical body currently is. Indeed, her body will still exist in the present, even though she will become completely unaware of what it happening to it. The player cannot affect any past events, and no one other than the player may view these events. Only when she stops playing does the player return all of her senses to the present.
Trivia
This treasure appeared canonically in the Zelda series, initially in Oracle of Ages. It's canonical effect is vastly different than its effect on Hyrule Castle, however. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
