Fairy Spell is a spell which, when cast, transforms the caster into a Tiny Fairy for a limited period of time. Casting this spell takes only a few seconds of concentration, and once it is complete the transformation is instantaneous. The resulting Tiny Fairy has a great resemblance to the original caster, and will always transform into the same appearance. Most or all of the caster's gear will vanish for the duration of the transformation. While transformed, the caster is unable to use any other Spells or Techniques.

The caster will automatically transform back into his original form after 1 minute, but can transform back earlier if he wills it so. Normally, the caster cannot transform again for another 3 minutes. With one level of Magic Power, however, the caster can do so after 1 minute. With two levels, it can be done after 20 seconds.

This treasure is a racial perk of Great Fairies. As such, a Great Fairy can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. If a Great Fairy chooses to gain this perk at some point after creation, the perk costs 15 rupees less than the listed price. Other races acquire this treasure normally.

The user can gain the Permanence augment simultaneously with the original treasure for an additional cost, or as a separate treasure at a later time.

With this augment, the effects of Fairy Spell can last indefinitely. If the user transforms back to their original form, however, they still must wait the normal amount of time before this spell can be cast again.

The user can gain the Fairy Share augment simultaneously with the original treasure for an additional cost, or as a separate treasure at a later time.

With this augment, the caster is able to cast this spell on others. All it requires is several seconds of intense concentration, then a gentle touch of whoever is to be transformed. The recipient is generally able to immediately tell they are being magically transformed, and can will the transformation to stop simply by thought. As such, this spell is ineffective on anyone who does not trust the caster. If the spell is cast successfully, the recipient is transformed into a Tiny Fairy version of themselves. As with the caster, this transformation lasts up to 1 minute, but will end prematurely if the recipient wills it so. Even with the Permanence, augment, the user cannot transform someone else into a Tiny Fairy indefinitely.

After casting this spell on another person, the caster normally cannot cast it on himself or anyone else for 3 minutes. With one level of Magic Power, however, the caster can do so after 1 minute. With two levels, it can be done after 20 seconds.

Trivia

  • This is the only Utility Spell to have its time limitations reduced by Magic Power, which normally only affects Offensive Spells.
