A Magic Bean appears similarly to a peapod, albeit with all the "peas" inside of it shimmering bright colors. Some find it to be a tasty snack, but its true purpose is revealed when it's planted in soft soil. Immediately after applying a bit of water, the bean will sprout into a leafy platform approximately three feet (or 1 meter) across.
Standing atop it will cause the platform to rise into the air like an elevator, and shifting one's weight can cause it to move in a given direction, including up or down, at a speed comparable to a Hylian's jogging speed. This method of steering is imprecise, as it can be difficult to stop, take sharp turns, or react quickly. Driving the platform more than 100 feet (or about 30 meters) away from the spot in which it was planted will cause the plant to autonomously move back to that spot.
A Magic Bean Supply costs a set 30 rupees. A supply provides an effectively infinite supply of Magic Beans.
An individual Magic Bean costs a set 4 rupees, and can only be used once. A skilled botanist is able to use individual Magic Bean as a material. Using 3 of these individual beans, a botanist can craft a full Magic Bean supply. With 4 of these beans, a botanist can splice the Magic Bean's platform into a supply of other seeds, fruits, or vegetables.
