A Scoot Fruit usually appears as a pink-or-purple fruit capable of fitting in one's palm. When a Scoot Fruit is struck against a hard surface, it bursts open, covering an area 2 meters (or 6 feet) from its detonation point with a cloud of opaque smoke which matches the hue of the fruit's surface. For most intents and purposes, this smoke is mundane, and should dissipate on its own in less than a minute.
Notably, this smoke has one extraordinary effect which will trigger under specific circumstances. If the seed is thrown by hand, the seed explodes inside of a structure, and the thrower's body is completely enveloped in the smoke: the thrower will instantly vanish and immediately reappear at whatever point of the structure he entered. He will not vanish if the entrance he used no longer exists, nor if the entrance is a significant distance away (roughly 1 mile, or 1.5 kilometers). If the user's body was affected by a Scoot Fruit less than an hour ago, using another one will have no effect.
The Scoot Fruit Supply is a Stock treasure gives the owner an effectively infinite supply of these fruits, costing a set 30 rupees. An individual Scoot Fruit is a Single-Use item, can be acquired at a cost of 5 rupees. An individual Scoot Fruit can only be used once.
A Botanist can craft with individual Scoot Fruits (but not with a supply of them). A skilled botanist can use 3 single Scoot Fruits to craft a Scoot fruit Supply. Using 4 individual seeds, the botanist can splice a Scoot Fruit's teleporting effect into a supply of other seeds, fruits, or vegetables. However, a Scoot Fruit's effect typically does not function well in combination with the effects of other seeds or fruits.
The Scoot Fruit Supply treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in A Link Between Worlds. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
