The Dominion Rod appears mace-like item with a mystical-looking design, colored a pale blue-green. The device is activated by concentrating one's magical power into the rod, at which point a green orb will appear at its tip. This orb can then be thrown up to 30 feet (or 10m). If the orb hits a statue, the orb vanishes into it. That statue will then become mobile, and mimic the user's movements and facing as closely as it is able. The user cannot activate any special abilities the statue might have, unless the user also has such an ability. If the statue is more than quadruple the user's height, then it will generally be unable to mimic movements properly. If the orb does not hit a statue, it will instead boomerang back to the rod. The orb itself glows a dim green light, and will harmlessly pass through any object which isn't a statue. Once the Dominion Rod leaves the user's hands, the statue will stop moving, or the glowing orb will disappear.

The user can gain the Telepathic Control augment simultaneously with the original treasure for an additional cost, or as a separate treasure at a later time. With this augment, the user need not move, but only imagine their body's movements, and any controlled statue will mimic the imagined movements instead. In this way, the user is able to both move as they wish, and have the statue move in a separate manner. Due to the difficulty of moving, while imagining moving in a different manner, only simple actions can be performed while moving both the statue and one's body.

Trivia

The Dominion Rod treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in Twilight Princess. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
