This complex and ancient machine has an appearance reminiscent of a large mechanical top, about two feet in diameter along the flat, uppermost surface. It is designed to be stood and rode upon, so the surface does not spin with the rest of the device. It can be comfortably rode upon and steered by shifting one's weight, and can travel at speeds of up to 16 mph (or 25 hm/h), faster than the running speed of most Hylians. It maneuvers easily over a variety of surfaces, and provides safe travel over shallow floor hazards, such as spikes or poisonous marshes. As it requires no apparent fuel source, it can be rode indefinitely for as long as the wearer stands upon it.

Near the surface but facing outwards are protruding gears, which spin with the rest of device. These gears can secure onto rocky cliffs, wire meshing, and other walls with a coarse, rough surface--in doing so, the Spinner can function as a horizontal wheel, allowing its rider to traverse some types walls.

Finally, when not in use, the Spinner can quickly transform into a much smaller "carry size," comparable in size to a curled-up housecat, albeit a bit heavier.

The Spinner treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in Twilight Princess. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
