Boko Baba Seed Supply

A Boko Baba Seed appears as a barbed purple-and-green seed, the size of the user's fist. This treasure provides a small pouch, which inexplicably contains at least a few of these seeds, which can be freely pulled out one-at-a-time or dumped out in short bursts. Seeds will autonomously plant themselves in any suitable ground, which generally includes any surface which is neither solid rock nor man-made. The seeds themselves are sharp and hard enough to be used as decent ammunition for weapons like slingshots, or as makeshift short-range weapons.
Placing one of these buds on suitable ground will cause it to quickly sprout and bloom into a Baba Bud, over the course of roughly 30 seconds. A Baba Bud is a colorful and exotic bud which can be used by a humanoid being for utility purposes. Specifically, a user can step into the bud, which will cause the bud to immediately begin to "chew" on the user as if he was an insect the bud was attempting to digest. After a brief moment, the plant will realize its mistake, and violently--but consistently--spit the user straight up into the air. The distance shot varies by size and weight, but a typical Hylian will be shot to nine times his own height. Heavier races like Gorons, or larger races like Lynels and Darknuts, may be unable to use the bud in this way.
If watered and otherwise cared for, a Baba Bud can mature into a full Boko Baba. If done manually, this will take about an hour. Spells or other effects which hasten plant growth can do so almost instantly. A Boko Baba is a violent but stationary plant monster which attacks all living beings near it in the attempt to consume and digest them in its jaw-like petals. A Boko Baba stands roughly 2 meters (or 6 feet) tall, and can reach a similar distance. It does not discern between friend or foe, but generally only attacks moving creatures.
Variant
A Kikwi, Deku Scrub, or Korok can choose to gain the supply as a mutated growth on his body, instead of a separate pouch. This is known as a Boko Baba Growth. The growth functions in an identical way, inexplicably producing Boko Baba Seeds at will. Unlike the pouch, he can choose for the growth to expel a seed without manipulating it by hand. This variant of the treasure gains the Transform field.
Trivia
- The Boko Baba Seed Supply treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Doc Genz. It was based on the canonical Baba Buds which appear in The Wind Waker. More about these can be found on ZeldaWiki.
- The treasures Roc's Feather and Jump can also be used to more quickly jump to great heights, but not nearly as high as is possible with a Boko Baba Seed Supply.
