A Hawk Lens is a material which can be used by an Outfitter to construct a piece of Headgear or an accessory.  The item itself is a strange crystal which, when peered through, has the uncanny trait of adjusting to zoom far or near like a telescope.  It seems to do this based on the desire of whoever looks through this.  The material in a Hawk Lens is enough to create goggles, a mask, or other headgear, that retains the property of adjusting zoom at the wearer's will.  As a general rule of thumb, it can clearly zoom an image up to x10.  This is generally enough for the purposes of a hunter or adventurer, but lacking for the purposes of an astronomer.

Trivia

The Hawk Lens (material) treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. However, in effect, this material can be used to create a Hawkeye, a canonical item appearing in Twilight Princess.
