A Gnat Hat, also known as a Minish Cap, is a peculiar piece of magical headgear. This treasure is a racial perk for Picori. As such, a Picori can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. If a Picori chooses to gain this perk at some point after creation, the perk costs 15 rupees less than the listed cost.

It generally appears as a red stocking cap, with a small bronze medallion embedded on the front of it. When worn, it shrinks the wearer, itself, and anything else the wearer is wearing, down to the size of a Picori (or, roughly the size of an insect). Removing the hat likewise removes the effect, and returns the user to their original size in a matter of seconds. The shrinking or growing process only takes a few seconds.

By contrast, if a Picori dons a Gnat Hat, he instead grows to match the height of a Hylian child or Kokiri, usually a little over three feet, or one meter.
