Din's Lance is an extremely powerful spell which requires great power and wisdom to cast. The user casts it by intently focusing upon his clenched fist for at least a few seconds, often with reciting a specific phrase or performing unique somatic actions--though these vary by the caster. If cast successfully, a rod of what appears to be brilliant, solid light will appear in his fist. The length of this weapon is usually slightly less than the caster's arm span. The mere creation of this weapon is said to be exhausting, as if the user has just run several miles.
Once created, this weapon can be wielded for about a minute's time. Though it doesn't harm the caster, anyone else who so much as touches it suffers intense heat (Fire damage) and deep-cutting pain (Light damage). Most commonly, Din's Lance is used as a javelin, as it will fly true exactly towards wherever the user intended to throw it, so long as the user threw with all his strength and could have hit the mark on his own. The power of a solid impact is enough to instantly slay almost any creature--a common Stalfos will explode into bone shards from this attack. Due to the sheer heat and cutting power of the lance, it can effortlessly pierce through almost any material on the way to its target.
Optionally, the user can create a smaller version of Din's Lance to their preference. This can be done to create an arrow suitable for a bow, or a bolt suitable for a crossbow, which can function similarly to the thrown javelin.
Due to the strain of creating this weapon, the user will usually be completely exhausted for several minutes, unable to fight properly, let alone create another lance for some time. At least a few minutes must pass between each creation of Din's Lance, though as with all exhausting tasks, casting this spell multiple times forces the user to rest longer and longer between uses.
