Detox is a curative spell. To cast it, the caster must place both hands on another being's body, then concentrate for a full minute. The casting of this spell expels any poisons, drugs, toxins, or the like, from the target's body, whether beneficial or detrimental, and only those that would otherwise be expected to last over a year remain. However, the target also suffers severe physical side-effects, which can include vomiting, bleeding from the nose, eyes, ears and other orifices, profuse sweating, internal pain, voiding of the bowels, physical weakness, or all of the above. In all but the most extreme cases, however, these effects subside within a few minutes; if the target was already in a very fragile state, however, he or she may die from the violence of the side effects. This spell does not heal the damage caused by whatever was removed, only prevents further damage.
The caster may use this on himself, but if he does, it takes approximately 5 minutes to cast.

The user can gain the Quick Detox augment simultaneously with the original treasure for an additional cost, or as a separate treasure at a later time. A Quick Detox functions identically to the original version, save two differences. First, the casting time is reduced to 1 second for another individual, and 5 seconds for casting it on oneself. Second, the violent side effects can be willingly delayed by the caster to a maximum of 1 hour after the casting; the healing process still occurs immediately. With these two effects combined, Detox becomes capable of being used in the midst of battle. With clever hand placement, the caster is nearly quick enough to use the undesirable side-effects as an offensive technique.
