Pirate's Charm is a magical item, and a racial perk for Sheikah. As such, a Sheikah can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation.

This item appears as a small glowing green stone, supposedly crafted from a Gossip Stone, and supposedly invented by a former King of Hyrule. The reason this item is called a Pirate's Charm seems to have been lost over time. When the target is holding a Pirate's Charm somewhere on her person, the user is capable of telepathically observing the target, and the target's surroundings. This includes both visual and sound transmitting. Such a being can also telepathically transmit her voice to the target, through the stone. The stone itself will give a slight vibration when used in this manner.

An appropriately skilled Blacksmith can smelt a pirate's charm into a metal object he crafts, allowing the crafted object to retain the properties of the charm. A blacksmith is considered an expert on these charms, and can always obtain one for no more than 20 rupees. A woodworker or tailor is not an expert as a blacksmith is, but can still craft an item using the charm as a material, giving the crafted item the charm's effect.

• Commshells have a similar capability for communication, but only transmit sound, and one must be held by each communicator.
