A Gasha Seed appears as a blue-colored, teardrop-shaped seed about as large as a Hylian's smallest finger. When this seed is planted in soft soil, it makes a strange, seemingly magical connection to whoever planted it. The seed is capable of growing to full size--about as tall as a Hylian in roughly an hour's time, so long as it is planted in decent soil, and has access to a good amount of water and sunlight. After it matures, it produces a single vegetable contained with a thick, nut-like protective shell. If this nut is plucked, or the tree is left for more than a day's time, the tree will rapidly wither and die.

The vegetable itself has extraordinary healing properties. Strangely, the healing properties of the vegetable grow with the more monsters the planter herself has slain since the seed was planted. If no monsters were slain, eating the vegetable instantly heals minor wounds including minor cuts and bruises. If ten or more monsters were slain, eating the vegetable can cure even lethal injuries and broken bones. In either case, the entire vegetable needs to be eaten by one person for the healing to function, and it needs to be eaten within a few minutes of being plucked. The planter need not necessarily be the one to eat it, however.

When used by a Botanist, these seeds are useful for creating an effect related to the Heal field.

Seed Effects

By using three Gasha Seeds, along with at least three other seeds, a Botanist is able to create a Seed Supply with one of the following effects. These effects will combine with the effects of other seed types used as materials.

Effect Name Description of Effect
Gasha The normal effect of a Gasha Seed occurs.
Tree A Tree Seed augments the effect of another seed effect. The seed can be planted in soft soil and watered, to produce a small tree roughly the size of a Hylian over the course of a few minutes. This tree bears, roughly, a dozen identical seeds to the one that was planted. Once the majority of these seeds or harvested, or after an hour passes, the tree abruptly crumbles into soil.
Purify When this seed is ingested by a living creature (not undead), that creature's body is cleansed of all non-lethal poisons over the course of about a minute. When this seed is dropped into a fluid that is mostly water, that water will be made into pure water, causing any impurities to either evaporate or be destroyed--however, one seed can only purify about a bucket's worth of water.
Refresh When this seed is eaten by a living creature (not undead), the eater will begin to feel a refreshing feeling after a couple minutes. This feeling causes the body's immune system and self-recovering abilities to abruptly accelerate, enabling it to heal minor cuts and bruises, ward off minor diseases such as an oncoming cold, and recover from minor poisons such as poison ivy. Eating more than a couple of these per day will cause the eater's immune system to overwork itself, causing the effect to fail and inflicting the eater with a lethargic feeling that lasts for hours.

Elixir Effects

Gasha Seeds can also be combined with specific quantities of other seeds to create a PerQuest Elixir with one of the following effects. As usual, the Botanist is able to produce multiple elixirs if her Botanist level is high enough.

Elixir Name Seeds Resulting Effect
Revitalizing Potion 1 Gasha + 1 Armor When this potion is applied to a physical item, such as a shield or chair, the item is immediately and magically repaired as if by an extremely skilled craftsman. As an apparent side-effect, the item becomes almost impervious to damage for about a minute. Notably, this potion doesn't seem to work on items which are designed to destroy themselves, such as Bombs.
Green Potion 4 Gasha + 4 Hyoi When the potion is consumed, the drinker will immediately feel reinvigorated. Any stamina or fatigue the drinker feels will be immediately relieved, and the drinker will feel particularly invigorated for several minutes thereafter. Any ability with time restrictions will, for the purpose of the drinker, will be reduced to less than a quarter of its normal time. The time restrictions include both the time to use the ability, and the time which must pass before using the ability again. This does not affect the time limitations of items, but affects spells and techniques. The effect of this potion ends after a few minutes.
Red Potion 3 Gasha + 3 Breath + 3 Baba When the potion is consumed, the drinker will be immediately revitalized and healed of all non-fatal physical injuries, but not afflictions such as poisons, diseases, or curses.
Life Potion 15 Gasha Unlike a normal potion, this is not actually actively used, but activates on its own when held on the user's body. Whenever the holder passes out from injury, or is otherwise on the brink of death, the liquid in this potion is abruptly consumed. The holder is revived with the majority of his strength, with physical injuries, ailments, and even curses mostly healed. This effect cannot function on undead beings. Any individual affected by a Life Potion cannot receive the effect of another for at least 24 hours.
